The Opportunity:
World Gaming, part of Clarion Events, sits at the heart of the global gaming industry. Our portfolio includes the market-leading events ICE Barcelona, iGB L!VE and iGB Affiliate, alongside some of the sector’s most respected media platforms including iGamingBusiness, GGB, and our growing portfolio of memberships and communities such as World Gaming Exec.
Together these products form a powerful ecosystem connecting operators, suppliers, affiliates and regulators across the global gaming industry.
We are now looking for a Head of Campaign Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of full-funnel campaigns across this portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving audience growth, engagement and commercial performance across both live events and digital products.
You will lead a talented marketing team and work closely with senior leadership across product, content, sales and digital to deliver best-in-class campaigns for some of the most recognised brands in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy for ICE Barcelona (including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans) and manage the execution of the strategy.
Support the Campaign Marketing Manager on creation of the strategy and delivery plan for iGB Affiliate Barcelona and iGB L!VE – feeding back and offering guidance where appropriate.
Support the Demand Generation & Growth Marketing Manager to develop and execute growth strategies to increase directory listing sales, executive memberships and audience acquisition in key segments.
Agree the marketing goals and targets with appropriate stakeholders, ensuring all subsequent plans align to these
Overseeing the team to execute the marketing campaign strategies – setting clear performance frameworks, KPIs, and optimisation standards for the campaigns and driving revenue, acquisition and retention in key segments.
Ensuring the effective presentation of the campaign strategies and key performance data to stakeholders as well as working efficiently with the wider marketing team to ensure the smooth delivery of plans.
Manage key relationships (internally and with agencies), across paid advertising, organic social, websites, creative and CRO, to ensure adherence to strategic goals and maximise campaign impact through effective communication and management.
Introduce innovation to how the brand comes to life with our customers through a full funnel, test and learn approach exploring new channels and reaching new audiences.
Manage the marketing team day-to-day ensuring that all marketing output is delivered to a high standard and reflects a deep understanding of our customers, market and channels.
Conducting regular team meetings, 121, performance reviews and ensuring that every member of your department has a clear development plan.
Ensure regular campaign reporting is circulated by the team and host any team meetings to ensure the ongoing optimisation of each marketing channel.
Ensuring a culture of continued learning (and implementing that learning) across the marketing team through attending events, reading, listening to podcasts and webinars.
Use business intelligence, customer feedback and insight to suggest and implement new ideas to drive results across the portfolio.
Ensuring all the delivery of all marketing reporting from weekly reporting of KPIs, revenue forecasts, channel performance across the funnel, to post-event reports that deliver insight, analysis and recommendations.
Ability to use data to deliver financial forecasts for marketing driven revenue.
Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring this delivers the required commercial results and ROI.
Identify key trends, innovations or technologies that can drive growth.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
Significant experience of developing strategic frameworks and processes as well as creating highly effective strategic and tactical marketing plans, demonstrably driving commercial results.
Strong leadership abilities with extensive experience in guiding and developing marketing teams through continuous, constructive feedback and fostering open communication.
Excellent knowledge of best practice across copywriting, email, social media, paid media, landing pages, websites and chatbots (ideally with depth knowledge in 2 – 3 channels).
Experience creating and delivering campaigns across multiple marketing channels.
In-depth knowledge of marketing performance metrics and optimisation tactics.
Excellent communicator – great verbal and written communications skills.
Obsessed with feedback – we love to continuously learn and develop and being able to deliver and receive feedback is a critical skill in our team.
Be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills - driven to understand “why” and takes the initiative to identify trends and gaps.
Excellent team management skills and the ability to prioritise relevant tasks.
Experience with marketing technology including email marketing automation, CRM, social media management website analytics, chatbots and more.
Excellent ability to work with data sets, interpret trends and provide analysis and recommendations based on data that support our goals
Highly proactive, initiating attitude – able to take prompt action to accomplish objectives and goals beyond what is required, with the energy and tenacity to address bottlenecks and barriers
