Management Accountant
At Clarion, our people are at the absolute heart of what we do. We’re proud that our core values of PASSION, CARE, IMAGINATION, and TRUST define the way we carry out our work across all of our teams.
If you share our values and want to be a part of a successful, dynamic, and creative global business then we want to hear from you.
The Opportunity:
As Digital Finance transitions into Clarion’s Core Finance function, we are introducing a new role to ensure the smooth operation of Digital revenue processes during and after the migration to Workday. Sitting within the Core Finance structure, the role provides essential operational support by managing billing instructions, maintaining financial data integrity and assisting with month‑end activities as processes move from Dynamics into the Group’s standardised operating model.
You will play a key role in ensuring Digital financial activity is accurately captured in Workday, supporting the Group close calendar and helping embed system‑driven controls as manual processes are phased out. This position is well suited to someone who values accuracy, process discipline, and a structured finance environment, and who is looking for exposure to Workday, centralised governance, and Group‑level reporting.
Owning end‑to‑end financial stewardship for the Digital Product lines, the role combines hands‑on management accounting with robust billing, revenue processing, and Workday data integrity. You will contribute significantly to month‑end close, forecasting, control compliance, and the successful migration of legacy processes into Clarion’s standardised Workday model.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and input billing instructions into Workday based on information from commercial teams; ensure completeness, accuracy, and correct coding for revenue recognition and AR processing.
Maintain supporting documentation to meet audit and period-end requirements for all Digital Product revenue streams.
Produce monthly management accounts (P&L, variance analysis, commentaries) for Digital Product lines and US entity; support cash-flow reviews and forecasting.
Prepare and post standard month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, revenue adjustments) and perform reconciliations for digital income and cost lines.
Provide timely, insightful reporting for decision-making—including project appraisals and post-implementation analysis.
Support statutory requirements and intercompany transaction reporting/reconciliations.
Maintain accurate master data and financial records in Workday.
Run and review system reports to validate postings, identify errors/inconsistencies, and resolve issues promptly.
Prepare and validate data inputs for Digital revenue lines; ensure submissions are complete and accurate in Workday.
Partner with budget holders to challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
Adhere to Group finance policies, SOPs, and Workday control requirements; maintain audit trails and evidence for journals and reconciliations.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Support migration of Digital financial processes from legacy systems into Workday; assist with data mapping, reconciliations, and validation.
Help embed standardised processes for billing, AR/AP interactions, and month-end activities.
Partner closely with commercial leads and budget holders to drive performance across Digital Products.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
Qualified accountant with experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong technical grounding across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, journals, reconciliations, and financial controls.
Workday proficiency and strong Excel skills.
High attention to detail; capable of meeting strict deadlines.
Understanding of revenue recognition principles.
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
Experience supporting a finance system migration or broader systems change.
Familiarity with CRM/CE systems.
Prior exposure to Group Finance structures and intercompany processes; experience in digital media/gaming sectors.
